Many countries put forward proposals to Ukraine Recovery Plan, says Denys Shmyhal

The state urges businesses to return to work, create jobs, pay people wages and produce goods to keep the economy afloat. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in an interview with ICTV Facts program.

The Head of Government noted that the state had created the necessary conditions for businesses to start operating - leaving only a payment of 2% of turnover.

"This is an interesting proposal for business. And they assessed that positively. More than

150,000 businesses have registered to switch to this system. The budget will shrink. But we have clearly determined priorities: we spend resources on defense, on social and humanitarian spheres," Denys Shmyhal emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, the budget is currently being filled due to the issuance of military bonds, the support of our partners and international financial organizations.

"There is another part - international humanitarian and charitable organizations, which also pay certain funds to our citizens, and with them we engage now in vigorous activities to ramp up work. These blocs provide an opportunity to cover the budget deficit," the Head of Government said.

In addition, Ukraine has begun work on a Recovery Plan. According to the Prime Minister, many countries are already submitting proposals to it.

"We have agreed with the President to establish a working group on the basis of the Government, the Office of the President and the Parliament, which will summarize the information we will receive from our partners and those who are willing to participate in financing the development plan. This plan will be the basis for the establishment of a recovery fund - United 24", noted Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine would cover the losses caused by russia, in particular through the nationalization of russian property. Relevant laws have already been adopted. In addition, Ukraine counts on frozen assets of russia in many countries around the world.

"According to various estimates, this amount ranges from USD 300 to 500 billion as of today. Ukraine relies on this money as compensation for the losses that russia has inflicted and is further causing to our state," the Prime Minister said.

According to the Prime Minister, the payment of frozen funds to Ukraine is a long-standing process. At the same time, the Ministry of Justice has embarked on active work to settle this issue.
