I'm hearing multiple explosions from where I am in southern Israel after a Red Alert was issued moments ago.
Initial reports of multiple successful #IronDome interceptions during the latest salvo of rockets fired at Israel by terrorists in Gaza.
Update at 2:01am: IAF jets are back in the air.
Several Hamas sites have been targeted in the last 5 minutes in Gaza City.
Ambulances being rushed to Hamas site at this time that was bombed.
Recent sites that were hit by IAf:
Targeting the Obeida Qassam site in southern Gaza.
Targeting the Issa Batran Qassam site.
Update at 1:25am: IDF shooting from the "Kissufim Military Site" east of Gaza City.
Warplanes target a resistance site in the central Gaza Strip with more than 10 missiles, setting fire to the site.
Update at 1:20am: Reports of Destruction and major damage in the targeted site in the Gaza Strip.
Update at 1: 15am: Firing from IDF tanks in the direction of a field control point, eastern Gaza City.
Update at 1:10am: The explosions heard in the south of the Gaza Strip are from the
bombing of the Al-Batran site in the middle of the StripSuccessive explosions are now heard in the central Gaza City.
Anti-aircraft being used in Khan Younis right now against Israel warplanes.
Update 1:06am: The Israeli Air Force is striking Hamas positions in central Gaza, using both fighter jets and UAVs. This action is in retaliation for Hamas’s unprovoked rocket attack on a town in southern Israel earlier today.
Update at 10:54pm: IDF confirms 1 rocket fired from Gaza; no injuries in Israel; defense chiefs already approved retaliation; army will likely strike in Gaza tonight.
Update at 10:52pm: Damage to an apartment from today's rocket in Sderot.
Update at 10:49pm: One rocket was launched from Gaza. It was not intercepted and hit open land.
Shrapnel from a rocket is believed to land on a street in Sderot. Authorities are on their way there now to investigate.
BREAKING: Southern Israel - We're getting word that there have been explosions in Southern Israel by Gaza Strip after rocket alerts.
