Cabinet of Ministers approves a decision that will boost the provision of humanitarian aid to people in the war zone

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the resolution regulating the provision of the population with storable products and sanitary and hygienic goods under martial law.

From now on, civil-military administrations can independently purchase such products for the formation of reserves with subsequent free distribution to the population or

involve other partner regions for procurement.

In addition, they will be able to form product packages from their available humanitarian aid. This will create a strategic stockpile of essential goods so that, in the event of a breach of the supply chain, people can quickly obtain food and sanitary goods for their own needs.

The lists of civil-military administrations that will assist the regions where active hostilities are taking place in providing food and sanitary goods with the number of people they can help have also been approved.

The Government continues to support the population in the areas which are hardest affected by the war. As part of the work of the Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs, more than 7 million food packages are being delivered to these regions at their request. Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrposhta are transporting aid.
