Acountry that is committed child abduction should be prosecuted internationally. This was emphasized by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk during her joint meeting with the Minister of Social Policy with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
"Amendments to international humanitarian law are needed, as russia does not
recognize any laws and conventions," Iryna Vereshchuk said.Numerous cases are already known when russians try to send Ukrainian children to russia through the territory of the so-called "DPR / LPR" for their illegal adoption. In the near future, russia is preparing to legally simplify and speed up this illegal procedure.
Ukraine appeals to the international community, to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child to respond to this heinous crime and help bring home forcibly deported children, Iryna Vereshchuk urged.
