BREAKING: Governor Says Russia's Kursk Oblast Shelled From Ukraine

Update at 5:26pm: Ukraine denies shelling Russia's territory and calls the shelling a provocation. The governors of regions of Russia said that the Ukrainians fired on the village, the village and the border point in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, including from helicopters.


Thursday at 5:19pm: Russia claims Ukraine fired mortars at Russian border outpost. 


Russia’s security service said on April 14 that a border outpost in the Bryansk region “had been fired at with mortars from Ukraine.” 


Ukrainian authorities didn’t comment on the incident.


The governor of Russia's southern Bryansk region on Thursday accused the Ukrainian army of shelling a Russian town about 10 kilometres (six miles) from their joint border, injuring civilians


BREAKING: Russia - Governor says Russia's Kursk Oblast shelled from Ukraine.


Kursk Oblast Governor Roman Starovoit said on April 13 that the region had been fired at with small arms. Russia has repeatedly accused Ukraine of attacking its territory, which Kyiv denied.
