Iryna Vereshchuk: Today 2 humanitarian corridors worked - more than 7,000 people were evacuated

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk reported on the results of the humanitarian corridors agreed for March 25.

Today almost 3,000 people evacuated from Mariupol to Zaporizhia by their own transport. Another 4,000 Mariupol residents were centrally evacuated from Berdyansk by buses.

"Now a column of buses is on the way to Zaporizhia. Petroleum has been

delivered to Berdyansk, and Mariupol residents will once again be able to refuel their cars free of charge to get to Zaporizhia, ” the Minister said.

ATTENTION! The gas station is located at Melitopolske highway 87-b in Berdyansk. Also, to continue the humanitarian headquarters to help Mariupol residents, 80 tons of food, medicine, basic necessities and flour were brought to Berdyansk to bake bread.

According to Iryna Vereshchuk, 531 people were evacuated from Melitopol to Zaporizhia today. Humanitarian aid was delivered to the city.

"Tomorrow we are agreeing on humanitarian corridors for Mariupol and settlements of Kyiv and Luhansk regions," she said.

The Deputy Prime Minister commented on the announcement of the planned opening of the International Red Cross office in Rostov-on-Don:

"We have officially appealed to President of the ICRC Peter Maurer to obtain from russia lists of all our citizens who were forcibly deported by the occupiers from Mariupol, and to provide them with the opportunity to return to Ukraine," Iryna Vereshchuk said.

Ukraine is currently waiting for the outcome of this appeal.
