Ukraine is negotiating an opportunity to deliver its agro-exports through European seaports

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky and State Secretary at the Ministry of Transportation and infrastructure Ionel Scrioșteanu discussed issues of maintaining uninterrupted supplies of agricultural products from Ukraine to traditional export-dependent markets.

Mykola Solsky stressed that Ukraine has stocks for at least two years to meet its

own food needs, and some types of products for even longer.

In addition, we have tens of millions of tons of agricultural products for export, but there are currently problems with its supply, as russia has blocked all our ports. As a result, according to the Minister, Ukraine loses $1.5 billion a month, in Europe they are experiencing a food crisis, and in Africa they are facing growing hunger.

"Therefore, my partners and I are looking for alternative logistics routes to send our goods through European seaports, including the Romanian Port of Constanța. In addition, we are discussing the possibility of rail transport, increasing the volume of transit freight," said Mykola Solsky.

The Minister thanked his Romanian counterpart for the constructive dialogue and expressed hope that the outlined issues will be resolved in the near future. They also agreed to maintain a dialogue on the issues under discussion.
