The new procedure for importing bulletproof vests, helmets and other material equipment for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was explained by Deputy Prime Minister-Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk. This equipment was equated with humanitarian aid.
Iryna Vereshchuk reminded that with the beginning of the war, the Government received more and more appeals from volunteers who deliver modern ammunition, means of protection and other much-needed material resources from abroad for the needs
of the Armed Forces. The current procedure for their import has significantly slowed down this process."Therefore, the Government adopted amendments to the resolution" Some issues of passing humanitarian aid across the customs border of Ukraine under martial law. " We equated bulletproof vests and helmets to humanitarian aid. Now only a declaration will be needed to transport them across the border," Iryna Vereshchuk stated.
Amendments to the resolution drastically simplify the import of the following equipment:
plates for body armor;
non-civilian portable radios;
unmanned aerial vehicles;
non-civilian quadcopters;
binoculars;
optical tubes;
non-civilian monoculars;
collimator sights;
optical sights;
thermal imagers;
night vision devices.
"Now only the end user warranty letter is required to transport these goods. We only import and help!", summed up the Deputy Prime Minister.
