Ministry of Social Policy: More than 250,000 food packages directed to war victims

Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna said that 254,779 food packages have already been sent to people affected by the war within the framework of the Million Food Packages program.

The food packages containing long shelf-life products under the program were delivered to

people from vulnerable categories in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

One Million Food Packages program is implemented at the initiative and coordination of the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in cooperation with the Ivan Tchaikovsky Pokrova Charitable Foundation, which provides food packages free of charge, as well as with the assistance of food producers, businesses and people who joined the initiavite to provide food packages to victims of active hostilities.

30,690 packages will go to people in Sumy region, and another 12,500 packages will be delivered to Kharkiv region in the near future.

People from the most vulnerable categories receive these products. First of all, deliveries take place in the areas most affected by the war. Regional social services provide collection of needs and delivery of products to recipients.
