BREAKING: Luhansk Oblast governor: No hospital survived in the region.

Update at 9pm Kyiv Time: General Staff: Russia plans to capture Mariupol, break through Donbas defense lines.


Ukraine’s Armed Forces say Russian troops are regrouping and gathering additional forces near Mariupol, that are set to launch a new offensive on the besieged city.


Update at 7:48pm Kyiv Time: Hromadske reports Russia carried an airstrike on the railway near Barvinkove station (Donetsk Oblast). Three evacuation trains remained blocked; their passengers were placed at the station. This is the only evacuation route controlled by Ukraine from Slovyansk, Kramatorsk and Lyman. In the temporarily occupied settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the Russian invaders banned the departure of males in the direction of the territory controlled by Ukraine

According to Serhiy Haidai, every health care facility was shelled and damaged in

Luhansk Oblast. Russian forces attack hospitals deliberately so that the injured people “do not have a chance to survive,” he said.


Foreign minister: Battle of Donbas will be similar to World War II.


“This will not be a local operation based on what we see from Russia’s preparations,” Dmytro Kuleba said, adding that he expects large-scale operations involving thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft.


Ukraine's military: After regrouping troops, Russia may attempt to capture Kyiv again.


Oleksandr Hruzevych, deputy chief of staff of Ukraine’s Ground Forces, said that about a third of Russian troops who had been deployed to Belarus were staying.  Kyiv Oblast borders Belarus.
