Tetiana Barantsova: The organization of assistance for the most vulnerable categories of people is the overriding priority for our team

During March and April this year, the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Tetiana Barantsova is working to organize the evacuation abroad of people with disabilities and mobility impaired people from various regions of Ukraine.

Due to the coordinated work of the Lviv and Donetsk regional military administrations, the Ministry of Social Policy, the National Social Service and the Ukrainian Red Cross

Society, 221 persons of the Bakhmut Psychoneurological Boarding School were evacuated to Italy and Latvia.

On April 5-6, the Office of the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities organized the evacuation of people with disabilities from Lviv region (80 people to Italy, 141 people to Latvia).

Such assistance for the most vulnerable categories of people with disabilities was provided by Croce Rossa Italiana - Italian Red Cross (Italy) and Gunta Anca - Head of SUSTENTO organizations (Latvia) and with their support. All issues related to support, nutrition, medical care wards of the boarding house on the way, as well as providing them with the necessary social and medical living conditions in their places of temporary residence before returning to Ukraine ", commented the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Tetiana Barantsova.
