Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland discussed ending war waged by Russia and rebuilding Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in an online meeting with President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, which took place within the Lublin Triangle framework on March 14 in Warsaw.

The parties coordinated further steps to end war by Russia, as well as cessation of nuclear terrorism by it, which is carried out through the seizure of the Chornobyl and Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plants.

"Today, all participants in the Lublin Triangle are aware of the importance of

increasing sanctions pressure on Russia, providing Ukraine with military, financial and humanitarian assistance. Among the issues discussed today was the imposition of tough sanctions against Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. Both the EU and the United States must seize the country's assets," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that the partners had agreed to work to prevent Russia and Russian business from circumventing sanctions in order to disable the occupiers continue to finance the war.

In addition, the parties discussed the future reconstruction of Ukraine, in particular the establishment of appropriate funds.

"Today the whole world is with us and it will help us rebuild Ukraine. Ukrainians are fighting for freedom and independence. We are confident that together with our partners we will begin the process of restoring the lost property, apartments and businesses of our citizens," said the Head of the Government of Ukraine.

Denys Shmyhal also thanked the countries of the Lublin Triangle, which were among the first to lend a helping hand to Ukraine just after the Russian invasion.

Following the meeting, the heads of government signed a joint declaration. In particular, Poland and Lithuania recognize Ukraine's European choice and see it as a member of the European Union in the near future.

The President of the Council of Ministers of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki noted that European countries are working to build an effective procedure for Ukraine's membership in the EU.
