Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna met with the UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Murat Sahin.
The meeting participants discussed joint actions to involve all UN agencies in public pressure on the Russian Federation with demands to end the war in Ukraine, stop killing civilians, create humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians from hostilities, help the wounded and
wounded, unimpeded passage of specialized and freight transport, which provides delivery of humanitarian aid and transportation of people to health care facilities.Apart from that, the Minister informed about the measures taken by Ukraine to organize the evacuation of children to safe areas, including abroad, in particular, orphans and children deprived of parental care, children who are in institutions around the clock.
The parties agreed on joint actions for the proper protection of the rights and best interests of displaced children in the host country and the further return of children to the territory of Ukraine after the stabilization of the situation in the country.
Maryna Lazebna asked UNICEF to shortly consider assistance to Ukraine in the form of comprehensive solutions for temporary resettlement of internally displaced persons, including children: prefabricated houses, tents, mobile kitchens, mobile water filters, equipping temporarily displaced persons with safe heating.
