Infrastructure stability

• The process of synchronization of the Ukrainian energy system with the European ENTSO-E sees its final stage, said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German

Galushchenko. Now the technical preparation for synchronization is coming to an end. It should be completed within the next few days. We expect our accession to take place next week.

• Ukrainian power engineers, despite the risk to their health and lives, managed to restore gas supply for 17.23 thousand consumers and electricity supply for 309 thousand consumers in 7 days of March.

• All Chornobyl NPP facilities in the Exclusion Zone are under the control of the military of the aggressor country. For the thirteenth day in a row, the staff of the Chornobyl NPP has been courageously and heroically performing their functions to ensure the safe operation of these facilities without rotation.

• The GTS operator of Ukraine transported 99.5 million cubic meters of gas for the needs of Ukrainian consumers (operational information during the day of 07.03.2022). In an emergency, the company controls the management of the gas transmission system and works to restore the damaged or stopped units due to hostilities.

• 32 RGCs in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions have so far been suspended due to military aggression by Russian invaders and active hostilities.

• Due to the damage to the Kramatorsk-Donetsk-Mariupol main gas pipeline, about a million residents of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions are left without gas. Technical specialists of the GTS Operator of Ukraine are looking for an opportunity for the fastest repair of the gas pipeline.

 

International dimension and sanctions

• On March 7, 2022, Rosneft was unable to repay the bond payment of $ 2 billion. Investors did not agree to receive payments in rubles.

• One of the world's major oil and gas companies, Shell, halts all spot purchases of Russian oil and gas. The company also shuts all gas stations and production of aviation fuel and lubricants in Russia.

• British oil and gas company BP will also stop concluding new agreements for the purchase of oil and gas from Russia

• Biden: The United States bans all imports of oil, gas and other energy from Russia. The British embargo is next. In 2021, the United States bought Russian oil for $ 17 billion (half directly, half through third countries). While the entire Russian oil exports during the year amounted to $ 110 billion.
