Serhii Shkarlet took part in a meeting of the Council of the European Union on Education, Youth, Culture and Sport

Today, April 5, 2022, Minister of Education and Science Serhii Shkarlet at the invitation of the Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports of France Jean-Michel Blanquer, who leads the Ministers of Education in the EU Council, took part in a meeting of the Council of the European Union on Education, Youth, Culture and Sport

Serhii Shkarlet thanked for the support provided to our children and all educators and

scientists who had to seek refuge in the European Union, as well as for Ukraine's support in the fight for our future.

"I am sincerely glad that, following the decision of the last meeting of the Council, a working group of the countries to support Ukraine on educational and scientific issues was launched. The team of the Ministry of Education and Science is ready to continue cooperating at all levels with representatives of the working group. Unfortunately, many Ukrainian children are forced to flee abroad due to russia's brutal aggression against Ukraine. But after the war, we are waiting for our children at home in Ukraine," the Minister underscored.

Serhii Shkarlet also appealed to his fellow ministers to continue sanctions and diplomatic pressure on russia, emphasizing the importance of Ukraine's accession to the European Union and the need to close the sky over Ukraine.
