On April 11, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė visited the liberated town of Borodyanka in the Kyiv region.
The heads of government could see the destruction inflicted on the settlement by
russian occupation forces."Borodyanka is one of the most painful wounds on the body of Ukraine. The consequences of the occupation by russian barbarians are appalling. Death and ruin are what the so-called "russian world" carries. We will bring to justice everyone who is guilty of these atrocities. Lithuania, our European partners, support us on the path to justice," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
Rescuers continue to dismantle the rubble of wrecked buildings in Borodyanka. 186 people and 42 units of equipment were involved in the activities. 40 volunteers from Kyiv also assist the rescuers.
According to the State Emergency Service, pyrotechnics have disposed of about 800 explosive devices, including those banned by the Geneva Convention.
