We managed to ensure a stable heating season in the face of difficulties, says Oleksiy Chernyshov

Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov stated that the enemy is doing everything to cause maximum damage to people and infrastructure, in particular, in the field of heat supply.

"Despite all the difficulties, in general, we managed to ensure a stable heating season 2021/2022," said the Minister.

According to the Minister, the regions that were the first to be hit by the Russians were

forced to cut off heat supply prematurely (for example, in Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia regions, and Chernihiv).

The decision to cut off heat supply was made ahead of schedule by some local governments in regions where there are no active hostilities (in such areas as Kirovohrad, Odesa, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv and Dnipro).

The heating season continues in the regular mode in the regions that accepted a large number of IDPs.

Where possible, district heating services are also provided in Kharkiv.

Minister Oleskiy Chernyshov thanked consumers who were understanding about this situation and noted that preparations for the 2022/2023 heating season are already underway.
