Exporting Ukrainian electricity to European countries will help them get rid of their dependence on russian energy. This conviction was expressed by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko in an interview with the national telethon.
The Minister of Energy stressed that the connection of Ukraine’s UES to the
integrated energy system of continental Europe ENTSO-E had ensured additional stability and security of our system."This is a two-way process: we need a European energy system, but on the other hand, the European energy system also needs Ukraine for its reliable operation," he noted.
German Galushchenko stressed that after the synchronization, even during the war, Ukraine had began to export electricity to Poland. Work is underway to launch a larger commercial exchange with EU countries.
"The more Ukraine can supply electricity to Europe, the less russian gas and coal Europeans will consume. That is, we complement each other in achieving our goals," the Minister of Energy added.
German Galushchenko stressed that the export of electricity would help attract significant funds for the Ukrainian economy and the reconstruction of the country.
