Prime Minister outlines the key economic shifts of the last week

The Cabinet of Ministers restarted the economy and put it on the military rails.This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his video address on April 4.

The Prime Minister voiced the main economic shifts and the results of work in this direction over the past week. In particular, UAH 73 billion was directed to the reserve fund to promptly provide the army with everything it needs. Expenditures on the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers, judges, and prosecutors were reduced.

"Pensions were fully paid in March for all retirees. Payments for frontline regions were

made in advance in April. We successfully implemented a program of payments of UAH 6,500 to all those who lost their jobs. Applications were received from 5 million people. Most people have already received funds, other payments will be shortly allocated ", the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister noted that support programs have been launched: people are being searched for housing, business funds are being provided to hire IDPs, and the has launched an opportunity to provide information on destroyed housing.

"We started a sowing campaign. Now sowing is taken place in almost all regions of the country. Seeds, fertilizers, fuel – all these are in place. The state has provided farmers with funding of over UAH 20 billion. Loans to all at 0% ", said the Head of Government.

In addition, a program was launched to purchase 10 million food packages for further free distribution to people in frontline cities.

"We continued to help relocate Ukrainian manufacturing companies. Almost 1,500 applications were received. More than 100 companies have already been relocated and are operating. New logistics routes have been formed for the maximum possible recovery of Ukrainian exports. We are looking for new opportunities and creating new infrastructure at the borders, "said the Prime Minister.

According to Denys Shmyhal, more than 150,000 businesses are already switching to a new tax system - 2% of turnover. Denys Shmyhal also stressed that there are no more queues at the customs for the import of goods. All humanitarian aid is issued in 10 minutes
