Government denounces agreements in the field of education and science with belarus

Yesterday, April 9, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to terminate international agreements in the field of education and science with belarus. The relevant resolution was adopted during a Government meeting.

In particular, intergovernmental agreements on mutual recognition and equivalence of

documents on education and academic titles, cooperation in the field of attestation of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff, as well as the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of belarus on cooperation in science and technology were denounced.

The agreements were concluded more than 20 years ago, but due to the support of the republic of belarus for an unprecedented, open, large-scale armed war of the russian federation against Ukraine, the continuation of these documents is not possible.

After the complete cessation of cooperation in the field of education and science with russia, the denunciation of all agreements with the country that supports the aggressor was a consistent step.

It will be recalled that registration for the national multi-subject test has been extended until April 19.
