Government allots the first UAH 1 billion to eliminate the consequences of hostilities in the liberated territories

The funds will be directed to carry out the most necessary priority works on the reconstruction of facilities in Kyiv (UAH 400 million), Sumy (UAH 250 million), Chernihiv (UAH 250 million) and Zhytomyr (UAH 100 million) regions. The relevant draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget" shaped by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development was adopted at a Government meeting on April 10.

"As a result of successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, four regions have been completely liberated from the occupying forces - and the Government is already

starting to finance the elimination of the consequences of hostilities and the priority restoration of infrastructure. We understand that even amid fighting continues in other regions of the country, in the liberated areas it is necessary to restore houses, hospitals, roads, utilities, "said Minister for Communities and Territorial Development Oleksiy Chernyshov.

The funds of the reserve fund of the state budget are allocated to the regional military administrations and will be directed to the following areas: repair and replacement of filling of window and door openings (current repairs); overhaul of roof and roof structures; current repair of the roof covering; elimination of potholes of streets and roads of settlements; repair of external and internal engineering networks and systems, including heat supply, gas supply, water supply, drainage, sewerage, heating, electrical networks; dismantling of destroyed structures and other priority measures to restore the infrastructure of settlements. Coordination on behalf of the Government will be carried out by the Ministry for Communities and Territorial Development.

"This is only the first stage. We assure that no region of our state will be left without attention, "the Minister said.

It should be emphasized that earlier the Government approved a mechanism for inspecting buildings and structures damaged as a result of russia's armed aggression, including critical infrastructure, to determine the possibility of their further operation, restoration or dismantling.
