Government allocates additional funds to support people and businesses, says Prime Minister

On April 12, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting allocated an additional UAH 490 million for the basic rehabilitation of road infrastructure, in particular in the liberated territories. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal in a video address.

The Head of Government stressed that the state supports people in the newly liberated territories. Thus, on April 10, UAH 1 billion was allocated for the first-priority

reconstruction of infrastructure in the liberated cities and villages of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Zhytomyr regions.

"We are constantly sending humanitarian aid, free things, medicines. We continue to distribute free food packages in frontline cities. The state buys products mainly from Ukrainian producers to load them with orders. Most of the items were purchased from 30 to 80% of everything needed, "said Denis Shmygal.

The Prime Minister also said that the Government has allocated another UAH 200 million to employers who hire internally displaced persons. Funds in the form of UAH 6,500 will be paid for each new employee to cover part of the salary.

"More than 5,000 employers have already asked for clarification on receiving such compensation," Denys Shmyhal stressed.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated an additional UAH 2.3 billion for the program "5-7-9".

The Prime Minister also said that more than 250 state-supported manufacturing companies have been relocated to other areas. Of these, 121 companies are already fully operational in the new location, others - are in the process of relocation. Another 430 productions are waiting their turn.
