Denys Shmyhal: Gov’t has extended the term of receiving assistance by forced migrants

The deadline for submitting an application for receiving assistance for the internally displaced has been extended until April 30. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told the Gov’t approved the decision at its session April 9.

“Another priority is to support our people. All over the country. Those who were

forced to leave, and those who stayed in their homes. Support with money, housing, food, medicines. We will spare no effort to ensure none is left alone with this trouble,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.

Forced migrants will be able to benefit from the program till the end of April. Under the program of payments, adults can obtain a UAH 2,000 resource for themselves and UAH 3,000 for each child.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers changed the procedure for providing compensation to an employer for labor costs for the employment of internally displaced persons. According to the Prime Minister, it is now possible to obtain a displaced person status after employment.
