Update #2: Ukraine’s Interior Ministry reports that a residential area of Kyiv came under Russian rocket fire early on Friday, local time. The city’s air defense destroyed one missile, while another rocket reportedly struck an apartment building.
Border Guard of Ukraine just posted that Russian forces attacked Ukrainian border guards with rockets or missiles in Zaporizhzhia 45 minutes ago, there are casualties.
Update: Ukrainian Interior Ministry says it shot down a Russian aircraft.
BREAKING: Kyviv, Ukraine - We're learning at this hour that explosions are being heard in the capital of Kyiv, Ukraine as Russian forces advances.
Heavy rocket fire has also been reported in the Sumy area.
This Russian attack started around 24 hours ago with several areas in the country being rocked by missile fire.
