In the conditions of martial law and the full-scale offensive of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the international partners of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs continue to support us. In particular, Switzerland sends humanitarian goods to Ukraine. The Embassy informed the Ministry of Veterans as a partner in projects for defenders.
First aid delivery - essential goods, which includes winter tents, woollen blankets, sleeping mats, heaters and medicines. They will be useful for civilians affected by shelling by
occupying forces and Ukrainian refugees heading to the EU border."Swiss support for the Ukrainian people is already on the way. The Swiss Embassy will continue to support Ukraine, as well as joint projects with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. We will not leave the Ukrainian people alone at such a terrible time for the country," the Embassy said.
"We ask international partners to provide assistance to those areas that are currently most affected by the war and most in need of basic necessities - medicines, food, protection. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs is very grateful to all our international partners for their help to the Ukrainian people, "Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina stated.
The Ministry's staff is also involved in the work of the operational headquarters of the agencies, which organizes the supply of food for the civilian population and the Defenders, and provides housing for people whose homes have been affected by the fighting.
It should be recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has simplified the rules for importing humanitarian aid to the country.
During martial law, the passage through the customs border of Ukraine of humanitarian aid from donors (within the meaning of the Law of Ukraine "On Humanitarian Aid") is carried out at the place of crossing the customs border of Ukraine by submitting accompanying documents or declarations with the appendix, without application of measures of non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity ", the resolution says.
