After the victory, Ukraine will restore and modernize its energy infrastructure to the European level, says German Galushchenko

After defeating the enemy, Ukraine will restore all energy infrastructure facilities that have been either damaged or destroyed as a result of Russia's military aggression. This was stated by Minister of Energy German Galushchenko.

"According to preliminary estimates, damage to energy infrastructure is estimated at tens of billions of hryvnias. But we will rebuild everything after our victory. We will make the

energy system even more reliable and modern, it will meet the best European standards," he stressed.

German Galushchenko stressed that maintenance crews are trying to restore gas and electricity supply to settlements as soon as possible. At that, the work is complicated by hostilities.

The most serious problems now are on the section of the Donetsk-Mariupol gas pipeline. There's a big damage. But active hostilities are underway. There are brigades ready to get to the rescue immediately, but we are waiting for appropriate opportunities in terms of security," said the Minister.

Also among the problems with the restoration of gas and electricity supply, the Minister of Energy called the areas north of Kyiv: "There are also active hostilities. We have managed to restore power to some towns, but for many problems remain."

At the same time, in general, the Ukrainian energy system is operating stably, German Galushchenko stressed. He reminded that Ukraine has been working in isolated regime for 13 days. "And it works quite successfully, ensuring the technical parameters that must be in the power system, including the frequency of 50 Hz."
