In the last week, in addition to IMF funds in the amount of USD 1.4 billion, the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine received funds from international partners in the amount of EUR 711.8 million.
In particular, Ukraine received EUR 300 million in emergency macro-financial assistance program from the European Union, EUR 311.8 million of the development policy loan from the World Bank called Additional Loan for the Financing of Recovery from Economic Emergency in Ukraine (FREE Ukraine) and EUR 100 million from European Investment Bank in the framework of the Ukraine Solidarity Urgent Response Package.
EUR 300 million of EU macro-financial assistance is part of the first tranche of the new
EUR 1.2 billion macro-financial assistance program, which was approved by the EU in shortest possible terms and signed by the parties on 3 March 2022. It is expected that the second part of the tranche in the amount of EUR 300 million will be transferred to Ukraine next week. In total, the first tranche under the new MFA program will be EUR 600 million.The World Bank has approved the allocation of the first tranche of the Financing of Recovery from Economic Emergency in Ukraine (FREE Ukraine) of the development policy program (Second Economic Recovery Development Policy Loan) totaling more than EUR 440 million.
The European Investment Bank made the first transfer within the framework of emergency measures of solidarity with Ukraine, approved by the Board of Directors of the Bank, in the amount of EUR 668 million.
Funds from international partners will be directed, in particular, to the most urgent financing of state needs and support of macroeconomic stability.
