Cabinet of Ministers has endorsed a decision that allows regional military administrations together with the National Police and the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control to monitor the prices of socially important products, medicine and fuel. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in a video address on March 7.
"The Government and local authorities are actively taking additional measures to stabilize
prices for basic necessities," said Denys Shmyhal, emphasizing that entrepreneurs should not try to make money in the war.The Prime Minister stressed that an extremely important front of work in conditions of war is to ensure the proper operation of critical infrastructure. In particular, those that supply people with electricity, heat and water.
It was decided that 12 Ukrainian TPPs will now be able to receive gas from Naftogaz at a price of UAH 7 per cubic meter. This will allow the relevant companies to buy the necessary amounts of natural gas to continue to operate stably and supply Ukrainian families with electricity, despite possible disruptions in coal supplies, which is also very important," underscored the Prime Minister.
