Cotemar boosts the development of the oil industry with 1,100 new jobs

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, July 3, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / -- Under the firm commitment to continue promoting regional social and economic development, as well as strengthening the national energy industry,

Cotemar announces the addition of 1,122 jobs, which will be added to different onshore and offshore construction and maintenance projects.

This initiative represents one of the most significant operational talent movements in the Oil & Gas sector in the country this year, thus strengthening the capacity to execute critical works for Mexico's economic stability.

Historically, the national oil industry has been a fundamental engine of the Mexican economy. Contributing approximately 3.7% of the national GDP, this sector not only provides the essential energy resources for the operation of other industries, but also acts as a driver of the trade balance and public finances.

The new positions, with highly qualified profiles at different levels and specialties —from pipefitters and riggers to 6G and 6GR certified welders, to name a few— will be integrated into strategic construction and maintenance projects with the support of state-of-the-art vessels such as Olympus and Artemis, adding more than 2.4 million specialized man-hours that will directly strengthen the competitiveness of this sector.

In this regard, an official source from Cotemar highlighted that this decision stimulates the national economy through an estimated economic impact of over 240 million pesos annually, generated by the labor employed in these projects. This translates into a direct and positive social impact, generating indirect income for approximately 4,000 Mexicans distributed among families in different regions of the country, stimulating local consumption and commerce in the areas of origin of the talent, primarily in the states of Tampico, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, and Oaxaca.

True to its social commitment and to generating jobs that improve the living conditions of its employees and the community, Cotemar guarantees fair and equitable compensation, offering dignified working conditions under formal employment schemes, with strict industrial safety protocols and ongoing technical training programs. In this way, the company reaffirms its role as a key driver of social well-being, regional growth, and the development of the national oil industry.
