The Rennes-based company Pointcarré, with the support of the Brittany Region, offers software that transforms AI-generated drawings into fabric.

RENNES, ILLE ET VILAINE, FRANCE, May 20, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- A major innovation for the textile

industry Design Maker V2 represents a technological breakthrough in the textile industry by automating the creation of complex weaves. This software combines a

deep understanding of the technical constraints of weaving with expertise in artificial intelligence to develop a tool capable of simulating and producing weaving designs that can be directly used on industrial looms.

"Design Maker V2 will revolutionize the way textile designers work," explains Freddy Brault, Managing Director of Pointcarré. "Our goal is to allow them to focus on creativity rather than on the technical aspects that are restrictive. This software will significantly reduce production times and costs while promoting innovation in textile design."

A project supported by the Brittany

Region This ambitious project benefits from significant financial support from the Brittany Region, which has granted a subsidy as part of its "Innovation and Knowledge Economy" programme.

"This kind of project is spread over several months, it's a huge investment of time and man," says Freddy Brault. "It was important for the Region to be there to support us financially. This partnership allows us to mobilize two full-time developers for one year and invest in the technological infrastructure needed to complete this innovative project."

Multiple benefits for the industry

Design Maker V2 will bring considerable benefits to the textile industry:

- Significant reduction in design and production
times - Reduction of costs thanks to accurate simulation before production
- Limitation of material
waste - Promotion of innovation in textile
design
The project, which began in May 2024, will be completed in May 2025. Pointcarré continues to reaffirm its vision of "Simplify your work" by facilitating the stages of textile creation and automating tedious work to allow designers to devote more time to creation.
