During the day, as specified, four such trains will run, and this practice will start when the
reception center in Slavonski Brod is completed.Stefanovic said that today's conversation was constructive and that it represents a step forward in the situation in which two countries that want to save as many lives as possible find themselves.
We exchanged views on specific issues related to the migrant crisis, the minister said, reminding that biometric data and fingerprints are taken from all migrants who have passed through our country, and there were more than 300,000 of them, in which enormous energy is invested.
He expressed readiness for the aforementioned documentation to be handed over to Croatia and other EU countries, so that it can be used for the reception of migrants in reception centers and their further journey to Europe.
This, he said, would make it easier for other countries in terms of registration, but also for migrants who would not have to wait for several hours because of the same procedure.
It is very important to reach an agreement on the fastest possible transit of migrants as soon as possible, while respecting all procedures and rules, so that they move from our reception centers to others in the shortest possible way, with all possible protection, the Minister said.
He expressed the expectation that the European Union will find a solution to the migrant crisis, because neither Serbia nor Croatia created such a situation and are not to blame for these events.
Serbia is trying to help overcome the crisis, but it cannot accept most of the burden. This is simply not possible because we are not economically strong enough, nor can we accept a large number of people on our territory, Stefanovic pointed out.
Ostojic assessed that the problems should be solved at the source, i.e. in Turkey and Greece, and said that Croatia would not build a wall towards Serbia.
