ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, May 20, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Bold Technologies, a subsidiary of Bold Holding Group, and MyIon Inc., have officially announced their strategic partnership to
develop Ion Centia for Cognitive City, a next-generation AI platform designed to manage and improve the performance of complex urban systems.
Structured around a US$2.5 billion build, operate and transform (BOT) model, the initiative will be based on Maya, the core AI engine proprietary of MyIon Inc., to integrate and support critical sectors such as mobility, energy, education, healthcare, and digital services. The platform is currently under active development and aims to deliver scalable smart infrastructure solutions globally, starting with its deployment in the UAE.
To celebrate this collaboration, Bold Technologies and My Ion Inc. organised an official launch event at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, attended by more than 100 prominent business and technology leaders.
Attendees included representatives from leading institutions and global companies including: Sequoia Capital, ADNOC, G42, Leonardo, Amazon, TikTok, Fincantierieri, Stellantis, Mexican Ambassador, Italian Embassy in the UAE, Abu Dhabi Capital Group, US Capital Group, AV Investor S.A., Horizon Capital, Netmore, as well as technology players such as Nege, Setep Italia, Tekira Watergy, and Moteos.
Representatives from the Office of the Chairman of Bold Holding also attended, as well as high-level representatives from the Abu Dhabi government and public institutions, reflecting the strategic alignment of the initiative with the innovation and national development agendas. The event provided a glimpse into the vision and framework of the Ion Centia platform, showcasing its expected applications and how it uses advanced AI technologies, sensor networks and data analytics to support smart urban operations.
Abu Dhabi was chosen as the global headquarters of the initiative due to its progressive regulatory environment, strong cybersecurity standards, and an integrated digital ecosystem. The move is in line with the UAE's digital transformation strategy and positions the platform for adoption on an international scale.

As part of this collaboration, all 63 employees and the company's global operations in Abu Dhabi will be integrated – a strategic move that reinforces the UAE's position as a global hub for smart technology.
