Anton Sikharulidze headed the Figure Skating Federation of St. Petersburg. The election of the head of the federation was held today.
The 2002 Olympic champion in pair skating, who performed in a duet with Elena Berezhna, a student of Tamara Moskvina, was elected unanimously on an uncontested basis.
The previous president of the Figure Skating Federation of St. Petersburg was Sergey Chopozov, who worked in this position for three months and left it a year ago. Since that time, the duties of the head of the organization were performed by Igor Obraztsov.
