European champions Alexandra Boykova – Dmitry Kozlovsky won silver. - Our rental went well. It was a little more difficult to tune in than the short program, but we coped. There was already responsibility for the result, plus, we knew how the other guys skated cleanly and that they got high marks. We understood: any mistake can greatly affect the result, but we tried to skate as we can, and did not think about the results.

We were faced with the task of getting into the top three – this is a matter of principle. Sasha and I have already participated in four Russian championships, I competed with my previous partner Vladislav Mirzoev on two or three more, and we have never been on the podium. And to win, of course, in general is very pleasant, - commented Anastasia Mishina.

The champions of Russia in 2020, silver and bronze medalists of the national championships Alexandra Boykova - Dmitry Kozlovsky went on the ice in front of teammates Mishina - Gallyamov and showed cool, confident and clean skating under malagueña. - I am proud of my partner, and I am sure that she is proud of me. It was our personal victory over our personal difficulties, and we are glad that everything turned out this way. It seems to me that the Russian Championship is a special tournament that stands apart. It's always extremely high pressure, crazy competition. The strongest athletes in the world sit here, and these athletes are worthy of representing Russia at the Olympic Games. We all deserved this right, we fought for it. Three-time champions of Russia Evgeniya Tarasova - Vladimir Morozov began the rental of their romantic program to the music of Patrick Watson with a confident 3C and a triple twist, but it was not possible to show a clean rental. On a cascade of three jumps, Vladimir swung by 3T and he could not add the last 2T, and Zhenya made a step-out on the triple rittberger throw. For the free program, the athletes received 149.52 points and 228.20 in the end, becoming bronze medalists of the championship.

- Today we fought, we are great. There are both positive and negative aspects. Knowing our mistakes, we will continue to work, the Championship of Russia is an intermediate stage, - explained Evgeniya Tarasova.

- Until the New Year, we do not plan any shows and competitions. We will train, then a few days of holidays, weekends and after we go out on the ice, prepare for the European Championship, - added Vladimir Morozov.

Daria Pavlyuchenko - Denis Khodykin emotionally skated the free program to music from the film "Black Swan", performing a cascade of 3T + 3T + 2T (the second 3T was underturned) and excellent emissions. A partner's mistake on 3C did not prevent the bronze medalists of the 2020 European Championships from rising from fifth place after the short program to the final fourth, scoring 220.18 points.

- Daria and I are satisfied with the rental, despite some mistakes. The mood was good, we show a program that is different from others, and we enjoy it. We show the skating that we like and the skating that we see," Khodykin explained.

The winners of the World Junior Championships Yulia Artemyeva - Mikhail Nazarychev, unfortunately, did not avoid mistakes. The partner fell by 3T. But in general, the young couple from Perm showed a high level (213.19 points).

- The rental was not the best, it was possible to skate cleaner. In general, we liked the championship: the atmosphere, the ice, the spectators - everything was very cool. We will work and try to skate cleanly in the future, - said Mikhail.

Progress in their skating was demonstrated by the students of Fedor Klimov and Dmitry Savin - Karina Akopova - Nikita Rakhmanin,who became the sixth (210.77). The couple trains in Sochi.

Several promising junior pairs also participated in the competitions, which confirmed the high level of Russian pair skating. Natalia Khabibullina -- Ilya Knyazhuk, who went to the cascade 3L + oiler + 3C (both jumps were slightly underdeveloped), took seventh place. Ekaterina Chikmareva - Matvey Yanchenkov became the eighth, Anastasia Mukhortova - Dmitry Evgenyev - 10th.
