ISU Junior Grand Prix debutants Maria Fefelova and Artem Valov won the rhythm dance at the first event in Xi'an, China. The Russians made a strong start to their first international performance, leading their competition by almost five points after their first routine.
Second place went to the Italian duo Zoia Bianchi and Daniel Basile with 57.96, and third place went to the Americans Anneliese Stapert and Maxim Korotkov with 56.90.
Students of Alexey Gorshkov and Ekaterina Ryazanova received the highest scores for their rhythm dance routine: 36.06 for technique and 27.04 for presentation.
