MACAO: Phase 2 of the renovation work on the ecological walkway at Casas da Taipa begins.

MACAU, October 5 - With a view to optimizing the pedestrian environment and ensuring public safety, the Institute for Municipal Affairs (IAM) began the phased renovation of the ecological walkway at Casas da Taipa in mid-August, with the aim of replacing deteriorated wooden structures and paving, making the walkway more consolidable and durable. In addition to maintaining the natural landscape of the wetlands, the overall pedestrian environment and comfort level will be improved. The second phase of the work will begin on October 8.

To reduce the negative impact on citizens and tourists, the renovation work will be carried out in five stages. The second phase aims to renovate the area around the ecological tank on the north side of Casas da Taipa. During its execution, the respective roads will be closed, and traffic will only resume when the work is completed. The expected execution time is 60 days, with the actual completion date depending on weather conditions. The remaining phases of the work will begin sequentially next year.
