With “Aphrodite 01”, Pamela Pini and Michaela Leitz connect the relationship between artist and muse with a contemporary ladies' salon in Frankfurt.
Men have had their clubs for generations, places where relationships are formed and doors are opened. It's time for us women to consciously create such spaces for ourselves.”
— Michaela Leitz, Cultural Curator & Salonnière
FRANKFURT AM MAIN, HESSE, GERMANY, October 19, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / -- At a ladies' salon in Frankfurt am Main on September 30, 2026, artist Pamela Pini and cultural curator & salonnière Michaela Leitz presented the painting "Aphrodite 01" for the first time.
The presentation in Pamela Pini's studio
Titled "The Artist & The Muse," the salon, conceived and curated by Michaela Leitz, brought together women from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
The evening drew on the historical tradition of ladies' salons and reinterpreted it as a contemporary space for art, exchange, and female networking.
The artist and her muse:
Pamela Pini and Michaela Leitz met through a mutual friend in their creative circles.
Their immediate personal connection and shared passion for art, aesthetics, and beauty blossomed into an artistic partnership.
With her series "Aphrodite," Pamela Pini takes her classically realistic visual language in a contemporary direction.
From a feminist perspective, she reinterprets traditional visual aesthetics and narratives of Greek mythology, placing female self-determination at the forefront.
The relationship between artist and muse also takes on a new meaning. At its core are personality, mutual trust, and the freedom of artistic interpretation.
"For me, it's wonderful to be the muse of an artist who looks beyond the external and wants to explore the deepest recesses of a person's being. As a curator, I'm used to consciously shaping aesthetics. In our collaboration, I can let go and give Pamela the space to interpret me through her own eyes," explains Michaela Leitz.
The ladies' salon as a contemporary cultural space:
For the presentation, Pamela Pini and Michaela Leitz deliberately chose an intimate ladies' salon instead of a traditional opening.
Inspired by historical, women-run salons, Michaela Leitz translates this tradition into the present.
As a cultural curator and salonnière, she develops cultural formats in which art becomes the starting point for personal encounters, new ideas, and long-term relationships.
Pamela Pini and Michaela Leitz share a common goal:
to enable women to have personal access to art, to connect female artists and women interested in art, and to build a network of female art lovers and collectors.
“For generations, men have had their clubs where relationships are forged and doors are opened.
I think it’s time we women consciously create such spaces for ourselves,” explains Michaela Leitz.
The salon offered invited guests a personal encounter with Pamela Pini and her art.
The premiere of “Aphrodite 01” was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.
A collaboration with a future:
“Aphrodite 01” marks the beginning of an ongoing series of works in which Pamela Pini and Michaela Leitz will further explore their creative relationship between artist and muse. More women’s salons in Frankfurt am Main are already being planned.
