from the Eteri Tutberidze school rose to first place, updating their personal achievements in the free program - 132.18 and by almost three points in the sum of the two programs.Polina and Egor demonstrated very serious content - they did a quadruple twist, and unlike the Russian championship, this element was at level four. They jumped a combination - triple flip + triple toe loop + double axel and parallel triple lutz. With the exception of the level three death spiral, the rest of the elements were at level four.
When asked by journalists how she managed to rise from fourth place to first, Polina Shesheleva answered:
-- We get ready and do everything. We prepare ourselves as usual. We need to warm up well, not listen to anyone, not listen to the scores and go do our job. Why are we fourth again in the short program? We need to do the elements better.
-- This season you have won all the tournaments you have participated in. Did you think before the start of the season that everything would turn out this way?
-- At the beginning of the season we were aiming for clean performances, but we didn't expect to always have first place -- the competitors are quite strong. The main thing is to skate cleanly, -- said Yegor.
Silver medalists of the Russian Junior Championship Taisiya Shcherbinina - Artem Petrov became silver medalists in the second start in a row, this time in the final of the junior series. The skaters from Perm also updated their personal achievements in the free program - 124.76 - by almost four points and in the sum of the two programs - by two points.
The athletes of Pavel Sliusarenko's group made a single mistake in the combination - they jumped - triple salchow + single axel + double axel. The twist and death spiral were level three, the rest of the elements were level four. The throws, which the guys had not been perfect in Saransk, were successful this time.
According to the athletes, this season has been successful for them. They have won prizes in all competitions. But to win, you need to add stability, do the elements well and artistically.
Next season, Taisiya and Artem plan to move up to the master level.
Sofia Diana Kasins - Alexander Bregey won their first bronze at the Junior Russian Grand Prix Final. The skaters from St. Petersburg's "Tamara Moskvina Figure Skating Sports Club" broke three personal records at this start.
The guys skated the free program quite confidently, allowing for some shortcomings in the jumping elements - the combination of a triple lutz with two double axels and a parallel triple salchow. All non-jumping elements were of the maximum difficulty level, the death spiral - of the third.
--What does this medal mean to you?
Kasins : The performance was not very good, but not too bad either. And the medals? All the medals are needed, all the medals are important.
Breguey : Yes, not everything worked out. We will work on the jumps. Mixed feelings, it feels like this is the last start of the season. It is mentally difficult because so many starts have been done, but it gives confidence. We tried to switch off, throw unnecessary thoughts out of our heads so that it would not throw us off. We skated confidently in the free program.
— Did Alexander Smirnov, who skated with Yuko Kavaguti, a student of Tamara Nikolaevna Moskvina, come with you to this start? What do you like about him as a coach?

Kira Domozhirova - Ilya Vegera took fourth place in the Junior Grand Prix Final - 179.74. The skaters were the first alternates at this start. And it turned out as in the proverb: every cloud has a silver lining. Due to illness, some of the pairs that qualified for the final were unable to perform in Kaluga, and Kira and Ilya took advantage of this chance.
The guys skated the short program very well, deciding to return to their last year's program at this tournament. In the free program, they coped with almost all the elements, with the exception of the triple loop throw.
It was very important for the guys to end the season on a good note, since it had been difficult and uneven for the pair.
The bronze medalists of the Russian Championship Zoya Kovyazina - Artemy Mokhov came in fifth - 176.91. The athletes skated the short program very well, but the free program in Kaluga did not go well.
Nevertheless, Filipp Tarasov's athletes spent their debut junior season successfully overall. They were among the prize winners at the Grand Prix stages and won bronze at the national championship for the first time in their careers.
Veronika Merenkova - Danil Galimov finished sixth - 171.58. Fedor Klimov's students skated the short program in Kaluga unsuccessfully, but pulled themselves together in the free program and came in fourth. Based on the sum of the two programs, the guys entered the top six.
