Anastasia Mishina – Alexander Gallyamov won the short program at the European Championships in Tallinn, Evgeniya Tarasova – Vladimir Morozov – second, Alexandra Boykova – Dmitry Kozlovsky – third

Russian pairs take the first three places after the short program at the European Championships in Tallinn. Anastasia Mishina - Alexander Gallyamov are leading with a new world achievement - 82.36 points, Evgeniya Tarasova - Vladimir Morozov take second place (81.58), Alexandra Boykova - Dmitry Kozlovsky - third (76.26).

The confident rental of the short program of Anastasia Mishina - Alexander Gallyamov in Tallinn was not affected by the fact that this is their debut European Championship. The athletes were not surprised by the high scores - 82.36, which exceeded the previous world achievement of their teammates Alexandra Boykova - Dmitry Kozlovsky - 82.34 at

the European Championships 2020. After the speech, Nastya and Alexander said that they did not concentrate on numbers at all, for them it was much more important to have a clean rental, more precisely, according to Alexander, "normal, in test mode."

- Nastya and I immediately thought that this rink is very similar to the Stockholm rink, where the World Cup was held. And the situation is on its own, and everything is very similar. As soon as we came here, I immediately said: Stockholm, change your clothes, we recognized you, - Alexander shared his emotions after the rental.

- The organizers of the European Championship probably wanted to repeat the atmosphere of the World Cup. Even the glowing letters in the arena are similar," Nastya added.

The athletes said that their task was to perform at the European Championships, and it turned out. Now they will try to skate the free skate in the same way as at the World Championships in Stockholm.

- The day started well. And it is good that after the rental we have positive emotions, - explained Alexander Gallyamov.

The short program of two-time European champions and multiple medalists of the European Championships Evgenia Tarasova - Vladimir Morozov in Tallinn turned out to be the best in the season, which is confirmed by the "sizn best" - 81.58. Experienced athletes coped with all the elements that were evaluated by 4 levels.

- Today we skated, fought for clean rental. They didn't let go of a single element. There was a slight roughness on the ejection. But this is due to the fact that Zhenya fell in the warm-up. Well done for putting it together. The rest of the elements were well done. High scores for these elements. A nice amount is "sisn best". It's all for now, - commented Vladimir.

Evgenia Tarasova added that the fall in the warm-up did not affect the physical condition.

- Just wondering. And so there's nothing like that -- you make ejections so many times. A million times... You just start to follow a little more, but the physical sensations do not change, -explained Zhenya.

According to the skaters, tomorrow, for free, they will have the strength, and the mood has already gone ...

Due to the only serious mistake (double salchow instead of triple), the current European champions Alexandra Boykova - Dmitry Kozlovsky were third after the short program in Tallinn.

- It didn't work out today. But I would like to note the fantastic support of the hall. We will concentrate on tomorrow, - Dmitry Kozlovsky briefly explained.

Sports pairs will be the first to compete for a set of medals at the European Championships in Tallinn. Winners and runners-up in pair skating will be determined tomorrow after the free skating program.
