The victory of the team "Tatarstan" (228yu73) in Yoshkar-Ola ended the championship of Russia in synchronized skating. The second place was taken by the team "Paradise" (220.14), the third - "Youth Seniors" (205.60).

The 2022 Russian Championships were especially long-awaited in the world of synchronized skating. This season, three more teams of seniors appeared, which brought the competition in this age category to a fundamentally new level. Athletes from Omsk, Togliatti and Yekaterinburg immediately entered the fight.

The results of the first day of the competition surprised with unpredictability. The

intermediate first place was taken by the Kazan team "Tatarstan". Skaters literally flew on the ice and really lit up. Confident execution of the program "Boom Boom", brought the athletes 77.14 points and provided a decent gap from rivals.

The second place was occupied by the Yekaterinburg team "Yunost-Seniory". The girls with warmth and tenderness performed a short program about childhood memories and return to their hometown and scored 71.37 points.

In the third position with a slight lag stopped silver medalists of the Russian championship last year "Crystal Ice Seniors". "Moonlight Sonata" in the modern reading brought the team 71.05.

Multiple champions of Russia team "Paradise" from St. Petersburg made a serious mistake during the performance of the short program. The fall of the two skaters did not allow the athletes to perform one of the elements in full force, which, of course, seriously affected the scores. The team received 67.43 points and after the short program was only on the fourth line of the standings.

The day of the free skate was a real sensation. The bronze medalists of the Russian Championship 2022 with a result of 205.60 points were the team "Youth-Seniors". A spectacular free program, inspired by the work of the group "Queen", did not leave indifferent neither the audience nor the judges.

Crystal Ice Seniors, ranked third after the short, made a failed free skate for Kill Bill (204.14). Mistakes on one of the supports and small marks dropped the team to fourth place, and even an interesting production and temperamental performance could not change the situation.

The Paradise team no longer had the right to make a mistake. Realizing this, the skaters made an excellent ride of the mysterious free program "Samson and Delilah". Having received 220.14 points on the sum of the two programs, the athletes managed to climb to the second step of the pedestal and book a ticket to the World Championships, which will be held in Canada in April 2022.

For the first time in the history of the team, the champions of Russia were representatives of Kazan - figure skaters of "Tatarstan". The rental of the chic program "Catwoman" was made at the highest level. And although at the end of the free program the team lost to Paradise, the final result ensured its victory (228.73).

The team "Zhemchuzhina"from the Samara region became the 5th (176.65).
