OTTAWA, ON: The 2022 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships – Novice Division, will take place in Calgary, Alta., at the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex from February 26 to 27, 2022. This event was previously postponed from the most recent Canadian Tire National Skating Championships due to Covid-19 restrictions.
“It is unfortunate that the Novice skaters could not participate in Ottawa,” said Skate
Canada Chief Executive Officer, Debra Armstrong, “but we are grateful to the Skate Canada Alberta/NWT/Nunavut Section and Tourism Calgary for reacting quickly to make this competition a reality.”The 2022 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships – Novice Division, will feature the best Canadian figure skaters in the men, women, pairs, and ice dance disciplines, competing at the novice level. This event will also determine the 2022 National Champions of Canada for Novice level athletes.

Please note, the City of Calgary requires proof of double vaccination against COVID-19 at least two weeks in advance to enter public venues, including Seven Chiefs Sportsplex.
