BREAKING: Russia Attacks Odesa With Multiple Explosions

Update at 2:15am: More explosions  reported in Odesa.

Update at 10:09pm: Russians dropped an air bomb on a school in Bilohorodka, Luhansk region, the Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reports.

According to him, there were about 90 people in the school, and about 30 citizens were rescued from the rubble. This building was the last refuge of people in the settlement.

Update at 9:53pm:  In the temporarily occupied Kherson region, forest fires are raging - the Russians forbid putting them out, according to the head of the Chulakivka community, Oleksandr Musiienko.

According to him, the fire is spreading near the villages of Heroiske and Ivanivka.

BREAKING: Explosions Heard In Odesa

Update at 9:20pm: Odesa region under air raid siren/alert.


Update at 9:16pm: Rocket strike in Odesa: a 15-year-old boy was killed; a minor girl was hospitalized - the head of the press center of the Security and Defense Forces of the South Natalia Humeniuk


A total of five people were in the building where the rocket hit.


Update at 8:29pm: The head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Maksym Marchenko, said that as a result of the missile strike in the Odesa region, there were dead and wounded. 


According to preliminary data, a 13-year-old child died, and a 17-year-old girl was seriously injured.

BREAKING: Explosions Heard In Odesa

Update at 7:15pm: Russia may declare full mobilization if it fails to achieve its goals in eastern Ukraine in the near future, Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanik said.


Update at 7:11pm: The head of the Luhansk Regional Мilitary Administration, Sergei Gaidai, said in a televised marathon that Russian troops were preparing to launch a powerful strike against the region on May 9.


Update at 7:05pm: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russian troops are launching missile and bomb strikes and shelling civilian infrastructure and residential areas in Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv Regions.


Ukrainian military resumed control over the settlements of Verkhnyaya Roganka, Rus'ka Lozova, Slobodskoye and Prilesnoye in the Kharkiv region, - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


Update at 6:44pm: The missile attack damaged the runway of Odessa airport. It is impossible to use it further, Nataliya Gumenyuk, spokeswoman for the security and defence forces in the south, said.

BREAKING: Explosions Strikes Odesa

Update at 11:18pm:  Explosions reported in Kherson.

Update at 10:33pm: Massive explosions reported in Mykolaiv, Kyiv under air raid alert.


Governor: 3 civilians killed in Chuhuyev and Derhachi, Kharkiv Oblast.


Six people were injured in the region as a result of Russian shelling on April 23, Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Synehubov said.


Update at 10:27pm: More explosions reported tonight in Odesa and Mykolaiv.


Update at 6: 06pm: A Russian strike killed at least five people, including a baby, and wounded 18 others in Ukraine's Black Sea city of Odessa on Saturday, Kyiv said, warning the toll would likely rise.


Update at 4:59pm: Air Command ""Pivden"" (South): The Ukrainian military destroyed two Russian cruise missiles that hit Odesa and two drones. However, two rockets hit a military facility and two residential buildings.


BREAKING: Odesa, Ukraine - We're learning that there have been explosions in the port city of Odesa, Ukraine.


There were four explosions.


One of the rockets flew into a residential complex, one - into an infrastructure facility. Several apartments were badly damaged, windows were blown out in the rest.
