He was previously involved as an Assistant Camera for the short film Dengar Bangsat which was associated with BMW Shorties, providing experience in camera operation and short film production.
Fikri later became part of the production team for the short film Halfway Down which was produced for the My Mind on Film (MMOF) Youth Mental Health Film Festival.
Halfway Down received the Grand Prize for the Malaysian Young Adult category. The production team also received RM10,000 in cash prizes and RM30,000 in production funds to develop a community service advertisement related to mental health for screening at Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC).
Fikri has an educational background in Film and Video from the National Academy of Arts, Culture and Heritage (ASWARA).
His professional experience includes camera operation, video production, video editing, photography, event documentation, live production and media production management. He also has experience as Head of Media Production.
In 2026, Fikri continued his professional experience as a Videographer and Video Editor at the Prime Minister's Department, Putrajaya. His responsibilities included video coverage, video editing and live production to support corporate communications and official program documentation.
Apart from media and digital content production activities, Fikri also developed Elaris Creative Works with photography brand FIMA Studio.
Elaris Creative Works focuses on photography and visual content, while FIMA Studio provides photography services for weddings, events, private sessions and other creative projects.
