PARIS, FRANCE, September 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- CGPH Banque d’affaires has secured approval from a US financial partner for senior financing of up to EUR 15 million to support the expansion of an Italian hotel group. The plan combines the
refinancing of an operating hotel near Bergamo with the acquisition, refurbishment and relaunch of a second hotel in Lamezia Terme, Calabria. The transaction brings together two complementary objectives: consolidating the group’s existing operations in Lombardy and supporting its expansion into southern Italy through a second property.
From Lombardy to Calabria
The first component concerns an operating four-star hotel near Milan Bergamo Airport. The planned refinancing will replace its existing debt with a facility structured over a longer term, aligning the financing with the group’s development plans.
The second component concerns a four-star property in the Lamezia Terme area. The project envisages the acquisition of the hotel, a refurbishment programme and the launch of new management by a professional hotel operator under a long-term agreement.
Financing aligned with hotel operations
The financing approved by the US partner provides for a term of up to 15 years and an initial period of up to 24 months before principal repayments begin. This initial period is intended to accommodate the acquisition, refurbishment works and the start of operations under the new management.
“International capital requires a clear, sustainable transaction structured around the company's operating timeline,” said Kolyo Boichev, Managing Director of CGPH Banque d’affaires. “In this project, refinancing the existing business provides the foundation for a new acquisition and supports the group’s growth from Lombardy to Calabria.”
A third property under consideration
The hotel group is also assessing the potential addition of a third property, which has yet to be identified. This initiative falls outside the initial financing scope of up to EUR 15 million and will be reviewed separately once a suitable property has been selected.
CGPH’s advisory role
CGPH Banque d’affaires is supporting the client in defining the financing structure, preparing the transaction and coordinating with the US financial partner. Its role covers both the refinancing of the existing hotel and the financing requirements associated with the planned acquisition and refurbishment.
