FANCI’s musical journey began at the age of six behind the piano in Berlin. That early foundation soon expanded when he took up the guitar under the guidance of renowned guitarist Rudy Stevenson, known for his work with George Benson and Nina Simone. Under Stevenson’s tutelage, FANCI not only honed his instrumental skills but also began crafting original songs, laying the groundwork for a career that would blend technical mastery with creative songwriting.
His early demos caught the attention of Diana Music & Vision Publishing, which swiftly signed the young talent. This partnership led to his debut releases of two tracks under the Berlin-based indie label Wemby Records. Issued under the moniker Gemini, the songs achieved regional success and introduced FANCI’s emerging sound to a growing audience.
Building on that foundation, FANCI continued to evolve both as a performer and a producer. He has since collaborated with and produced material for a number of German artists, further refining his craft in the studio. Amid this production work, he began composing songs for his first full-length album, deliberately aiming for international appeal. The resulting music seamlessly fuses rock, soul, pop, new wave, and funk, drawing clear inspiration from icons such as Jamiroquai, Prince, Curtis Mayfield, Peter Gabriel, and David Bowie.
