TAINAN, TAIWAN, July 16, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- In response to the severe damage caused by Typhoon Danas, EBC Financial Group (EBC) has donated US$10,000 to the Tainan City Government's official disaster relief fund. This donation demonstrates EBC's care for the affected areas and its dedication and commitment to promoting reconstruction efforts.
Typhoon Danas made landfall on July 6,
bringing with it strong winds and heavy rains, wreaking havoc on communities across Tainan. Thousands of homes were flooded or damaged, public facilities were disrupted on a large scale, and prolonged power and water outages further exacerbated residents' stress. The storm also caused agricultural losses of approximately NT$1.6 billion (approximately US$49 million) and damage to educational facilities worth more than NT$260 million (approximately US$8.9 million), and recovery efforts are still ongoing.EBC's donation will be transferred to Tainan City's social assistance fund account to help residents restore basic services and rebuild their homes.
