Hooded Horse's summer of games is off to a fantastic start

The second quarter of 2025 has been great, thanks for asking

June 9, 2025 - A lot’s been happening at Hooded Horse recently, and there’s plenty to celebrate as the summer showcase season kicks into gear. The publisher of

deep strategic and tactical games has plenty of cool announcements and updates to share.

First up, Minakata Dynamics' “Cat and Mouse” city builder Whiskerwood debuted a new gameplay trailer at this year’s PC Gaming Show summer showcase, showing off the latest improvements to city-building, as well as features from the strategy layer where players can attempt to throw off the oppressive paws of their cat coverlords.

Other highlights include:

• Amplitude Studios’ ENDLESS Legend 2 also premiered a new trailer during the PC Gaming Show 2025, which revealed the game’s early access release date. More details here.
• Meanwhile, Chronocle’s upcoming roguelite RPG auto battler He is Coming also announced its July early access release date with a new trailer during IGN Live, which you can check out here.
• And for those eyeing up this month’s Steam Next Fest – which kicks off later today –  make sure to check out roguelite tactical game Every Day We Fight and its demo ahead of its launch on July 10.

In terms of recent successes, roguelite city-builder Super Fantasy Kingdom recently crossed the 300,000 Steam wishlist threshold, and both of Hooded Horse’s May releases have been fantastic. Blacksmith Master is almost ready to roll out its first content roadmap, and 9 Kings surpassed 250,000 units in the first week, representing one of the most successful launches from a Brazilian developer.
