BRAZIL: Açaibot, the first açaí harvesting robot, will be launched at the Açaí Festival in Belém

Açaibot system increases harvest productivity

System is controlled by a small remote control and makes operation easy

The equipment will be available for pre-sale and promises increased productivity and greater safety during harvesting

BELEM, PARá, BRAZIL, June 10, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- Kaatech, an innovation company of the Kaa Group , headquartered in Belém (PA), will officially launch the Açaibot on the 13th , the first equipment for large-scale Açaí harvesting. The robot, which can be

controlled by a small remote control and developed with entirely national technology, will be on display at the Açaí Festival 2025, at Hangar Centro de Convenções. The launch marks the beginning of the online pre-sale of the equipment, available at www.kaatech.com.br with reservations of 1,000 units and easy payment with a 20% down payment.

With the capacity to harvest more than 100 bunches of açaí in a single morning, the Açaibot increases productivity by up to 10 times compared to the traditional method. Kaatech CEO, Marcelo Feliciano, says that the innovation has the potential to transform the reality of the forest and the lives of riverside dwellers. “How many times can a person climb an açaí tree in one morning? Ten times? With the Açaibot, they will climb more than 100 times and multiply their income,” he explains.

In addition to the productivity gain, the Açaibot also represents a social advance. By replacing manual labor in hard-to-reach areas, the equipment helps reduce accidents and the use of child labor, recurring problems in the activity. “We really believe in the potential of the Açaibot. Since the first prototype, we have made dozens of improvements. Now, it has reached the market with fantastic performance and is ready to modernize the harvest,” adds Adalto Barbosa, partner and investor in the Kaa Group.

Innovation in the forest: more efficient and sustainable harvesting

The launch of the Açaibot is just the first step in the project to modernize the açaí production chain proposed by the Kaa Group. Kaatech already has a second piece of equipment in its portfolio: an electric cableway system, which allows the production to be transported from the forest to the riverbanks with greater speed and volume — and can also take the operator between the açaí groves.

In the group's laboratories, another innovation front is the genetic improvement of açaí seedlings and other crops, producing more resistant plants and productivity gains.

The Kaa Group, through Açaí Kaa, is also preparing to launch a new product on the market: high-quality açaí powder, with its own nutrient conservation technology and maintaining 99% of all the characteristics of the fruit, which is practically a heritage of the state of Pará.
Industrial complex with its own energy generation

With the goal of directly impacting the more than 200,000 people involved in the açaí chain, the Kaa Group maintains an industrial complex in the Icoaraci district of Belém, which is expected to generate more than 4,000 direct and indirect jobs. The complex has a biodegradable basket factory for transporting açaí from the forest to the blender, an açaí powder factory, a high-tech equipment factory, and all the electricity used in the complex will be generated by the company using açaí seeds, which guarantees clean energy to maintain sustainable operations. “We have created a true ecosystem that supports everyone from riverside producers to end consumers, delivering efficiency, innovation, and respect for the forest,” summarizes the CEO.
