
Acting President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation Anton Sikharulidze was elected to the Executive Committee of the Russian Olympic Committee at today's Olympic meeting held in Moscow.
In total, the executive committee included 29 people: Evgeny Arkhipov, Oleg Belozerov, Viktor Berezov, Yuri Borzakovsky, Natalia Gart, Nikolai Gulyaev, Mikhail Degtyarev, Alexander Dyukov, Roman Kramar, Dmitry Mazepin, Viktor Maigurov, Ilgar Mamedov, Mikhail Mamiashvili,
Alexander Nikitin, Natalia Privalova, Natalia Parshikova, Anatoly Pegov, Alexander Popov, Arkady Rotenberg, Dmitry Svishchev, Anton Sikharulidze, Vitaly Smirnov, Shamil Tarpischev, Gennady Timchenko, Vladislav Tretyak, Marat Filippov, Pyotr Fradkov, Sergey Tsoi, Stanislav Shevchenko, Sergey Shishkarev.
Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev was elected President of the country's Olympic Committee. He turned out to be the only contender for the post of head of the organization. Degtyarev's candidacy was supported by 197 delegates, two abstained.
The Olympic meeting was held in Moscow on December 13.
