World Triathlon is delighted to announce that the picturesque Alpine resort of Cogne, Italy, will host the Winter Triathlon World Championships in February 2025. Located in the AostaValley in Northern Italy, in the heart of the Dolomiti mountains, Cogne welcomed also in 2014 the World Triathlon Winter Championships, and is ready to step up once again and follow the steps of Pragelato, another Italian winter resort that hosted the Winter Triathlon World Championships last year.
The competition will commence on Friday, 21 February, 2025, with the
Winter Duathlon World Championships. Elite, U23, and Junior athletes will compete in a challenging format consisting of two laps each of running and cross-country skiing.Saturday will see the Age-Group and Para Winter Duathlon Championships, followed by the Elite, U23, and Junior Winter Triathlon World Championships. The Elite winter triathlon race will feature the usual 8km snow run, 12km snow mountain biking, and 12km cross-country skiing, but with a demanding five transitions and two laps of each section. Age-Group and Para athletes will compete over a half-distance course with two transitions.
The event will conclude on Sunday with the Age-Group Standard distance World Triathlon Winter Championships, the Para Winter Triathlon World Championships, and the exciting 2x2 Winter Triathlon Mixed Relay for Elites and U23/Juniors.

With the snow already covering the mountains of the impressive Alpine town, one of the most beautiful destinations in Italy, we are looking forward to another spectacular event in Cogne.
